P35 Listing to port side
« on: June 17, 2014, 12:50:47 PM »
I have a 1971 P35, Center board.  She's listing a good 4inches to the port.  What could this be?  The bilge is dry.

This Spring I fixed a crack that was leaking water on the starboard side, to the rear of the centerboard housing, just in front of the deepest part of my bilge in that flat area.  I opened the crack to properly repair the issue and found a fairly large cavity full of water.  I pumped it out.  noted there was no water in it for a few days after and sealed the crack and now hole.  I pumped a lot of water out of this mysterious place.  I am thinking it came from years and years of the starboard hull soaking up water from who knows where... which had a limit and now that ive pumped the starboard side out the port side must have the same issue.  This is all i can think of.

Does anyone have a suggestion or similar story with hopefully a good fix?  george@campbellrepresentation.com.  Thanks!

Thanks
