Ed, your post made me think. Since I didn't want to hijack your post, I thought I would post a separate, but related topic. I was wondering if anyone has found a replacement for the bullet holder? I installed an OGM tri-color light at the top of my mast, and it is nice and bright~! I want to maintain my existing nav lights, as a backup, and to use when bay sailing.
Rather than replace the bulbs, I think I want to replace the fittings, using some type of LED, flush mount, if possible. With LED, hopefully I will never have to replace another nav light bulb! Has anyone done something like that?

A friend of mine found these to replace the ones on his Catalina 30:

They were an exact fit. I believe they are the same ones used on the P-323.
My friend did warn that they come in 2 sizes, and you need to call to get the right
one.

I'm so glad to have this Pearson owner's group! Found this old thread with exactly the information that I needed to replace my LED nav lights after a lighting strike (yikes!).
BTW, Dave at Boater Bits is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking to replace your red and greens.

Bill,
Glad to have helped! After I made the above post, I bought and installed them. As you know, they were a perfect drop-in fit.
They're super bright, low-power, and have been trouble-free.
