Interior Structures / Re: replacing plastic storage liners

Yes, that would be a good idea.  I am almost positive that mine are made from molded plastic similar to the plastics used for kayaks, polyethylene.  Never the less, that would be a great idea to use one for a mold making them in fiberglass.  I wonder what other ideas people have used for replacing them.  I am sure wear and tear has taken its toll over 30 years of use at least in my boat's case.

Does anyone know where I can find the plastic storage liners for the storage areas under the salon cushions and chart seat?  I have two that have cracked or broken lips.

Geoff, you make alot of sense.  I thought about what you said and my wife and I both tend to grab onto the pole sometimes for getting in and out.  I will consider putting one in myself when I do the refinishing project.

Geoff, thanks for the input.  I kinda figured as much but wanted to make sure my thinking was right.  Why was it necessary to place a backing plate behind the pole mount?

I want to refinish my salon/dining table on "Sterling" but do not want to sand it down inside the boat.  So I would like to remove it but I am not quite sure how.  I am assuming I would need to remove both top and bottom pole attachments at the same time since there is no leeway to remove one and then pull out of other.  Has anyone done this before?

Geoff, I like the look nat having the grey.  Your boat takes on a totally different look without the grey and the new ports.  Looks good.  Would like to see your other changes or improvements that you have made.

Geoff, I looked for the owners list and could not find it or your pic of Anameg.  I have been thinking of removing the bandit stripe as well.  Would love to see a pic of her without one to see how it looks.  My father lived in Herbster, WI and have always enjoyed Lake Superior while I was up there.  Always thought it would be a nice place to cruise.
