Look at Elebogen motor mounts for the Yanmar line.
Made in Spain I believe.

General Discussion / Odd Question....
« on: June 16, 2023, 10:42:24 PM »
Hey all,
I have never seen this question asked but is there any concern with regard to hull "movement" when launching a boat? I am asking because my boat, Triton #73 from 1960, has been on land for about 10 years. During the past three years I have added resin/ mat at certain areas (like extra tabbing for the engine mounts) as well as painted the interior/ exterior. So when I do finally launch and the Travel Lift picks her up for the first time, will she bend or twist in a major way? Could the hull flex so much that paint is compromised or tabbing pops off?
I'm probably worried about nothing but wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this.
Thanks very much for any replies!

For Sale and Wanted / Looking for an original builders plate
« on: June 03, 2023, 08:34:00 PM »
I am looking for a Pearson builders plate for my 1960 Triton. I believe she would have originally had one of the blue plates with her hull number engraved. No one seems to be making new ones so I thought I would ask the group.
Thanks.

I am curious about this as well. But I don't see how it would be possible to obtain.

The restoration of #73 continues albeit slowly. One correction I wanted to post is that #73 is keeping her current name "Souhegan" as dealing with a change of ownership AND a renaming is too much with a documented boat (the NVDC must be overwhelmed these days as their case processing dates are up to six months out).

Hi all. Glad to be part of this group. I am the new owner of Pearson Triton #73 "Petrel" (ex. "Souhegan", ex. "Taroa") built in 1960. She is currently on the hard in Haddam, Ct undergoing a full refit after spending ten years in a barn where she was home to many generations of mice and squirrels. Work will include deck re-core, new electrical, plumbing, new head and galley, etc. Will have many questions I'm sure!
Thanks again!

My Triton (#73) has no builders plate that I can find. Does anyone make new bronze plates?
Thanks.
